COMMUNITY EDUCATION

Welcome to the Community Education website!   The Community Education department is truly an extension of the Schools of Guntersville.  Our mission is serving the students in the school system as well as their families.  We are partners with amazing organizations such as United Way, Marshall County Christmas Coalition, Guntersville Blessings in a Backpack, the Lake Guntersville Chamber of Commerce, many local businesses and with the Heart of the Valley YMCA in Huntsville, AL.  These partnerships provide our schools with necessary resources to meet needs, enrich lives and further develop the students into well-rounded, successful and productive individuals.   We are very excited to announce that through our partnership with the Heart of the Valley YMCA we offer exceptional after school care at Guntersville Elementary School/Cherokee Elementary School serving grades K - 5.  As a 21st Century Community Learning Center, the Extended Adventures after school program provides academic support, enrichment opportunities, health and wellness activities and a nutritious substantial snack for all of the students who attend the program.
