Hello everyone! My name is Tina Parmer. I am looking forward to making the most of this school year! Here is a little bit about me...
I graduated from Arab High School in 1999. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education Mathematics from Athens State University in 2002 and my Master’s Degree in Secondary Education Mathematics from the University of Alabama in 2006. I am currently pursuing my National Board Certification. I have twenty years of teaching experience in middle school, high school, and college math! I have taught every secondary mathematics course from 6th grade math to calculus. I have a passion for my students and their education.
I have been blessed with an awesome husband, Donny, and two beautiful daughters, Hartley and Johanna. We have one fur baby, a German Shepherd named Gunner. I also have a close relationship with my parents, and my sister and her family.
I love spending time with my family and friends. I am a fitness enthusiast - from running, swimming, biking, and weight lifting to pilates - I enjoy it all! I love sports, especially football, basketball, baseball, cheerleading, and horse riding. I am an animal lover and enjoy caring for my doggo and helping my daughters care for their pets. In my spare time, I also enjoy camping, hiking, boating, and hanging out at the lake. I couldn’t possibly name my favorite music genre because I like them all. My favorite kind of food would have to be seafood, and preferably spicy! My interests include health, nutrition, psychology, and world travel.
