Mrs. Gigi Parsons began teaching Biology and Human Anatomy at GHS in 2005. Before becoming a teacher, Mrs. Parsons worked in hospital and nursing home settings as a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. She graduated Cum Laude from Wallace State College and passed her state board test in 1999. After working in the Huntsville area until 2003, she went back to college at Alabama A & M University to earn a B.S. in Secondary Education. Mrs. Parsons graduated with honors in 2005. She lived in South Carolina before settling in Alabama in 1997. Mrs. Parsons is married with two grown children. Mrs. Parsons teaches 9th grade Biology, pre-AP Biology, AP Biology and Human Anatomy. She is the Head of the Science department at GHS. Currently she attends the University of Alabama and is seeking her Masters degree in Secondary Education for Biology.
