    Guntersville Elementary School

    Kim Ashley, LPN: 

    I’m a graduate of Albertville High School and ’93 graduate of Wallace State Community College School of Nursing. I have enjoyed being a school nurse at GES since 2008. I also enjoy gardening, camping, and spending time with my husband David and 2 daughters, Carrie Beth and Maleah.

    Cherokee Elementary School

    Chrystal Martin, RN:

    I am a 2005 graduate of Douglas high School and a 2008 graduate of Snead State Community Collegte Nursing Program. I became the school nurse for Cherokee Elementary in September of 2018. Prior to being a school nurse, I worked in Oncology and Emergency room nursing. I live in Guntersville and i'm married to Tyler martin. We have 3 boys, Donovan, Pierce, and Jax. I enjoy spending lots of time with my family and friends, traveling, being on the lake, sports, and reading. I love helping the students at CES to feel happy and healthy.  I am so happy and thankful to be a Wildcat!!

    Tammy Nabors, RN: 

    I have been a school nurse since 2003, and have loved working for Guntersville City Schools over the last 8 years. I graduated from Arab High School and Jacksonville State University School of Nursing. My husband Tim and I have a wonderful daughter and son-n-law, and the two sweetest grandkids around!  I consider it an honor to care for the students at school each day and look forward to a great school year.

    Karen Berry, LPN:

    I have been a school nurse with Guntersville City Schools since 2005. I am married with 3 children and 3 grandchildren. My office is located in the Learning Center Building at the High School. 

    Special Needs Bus

    Melony Thompson, LPN:

    I attended Douglas High School and graduated in 1997 from Gadsden State Community College. My school nurse career with Guntersville City Schools began January 2019. I am the nurse/aide for the special needs bus, and float nurse for all four of our schools. I am married to Robert Thompson. We have 3 children and 2 grandchildren. I am honored to serve the children and staff of all the schools within our system.
