    Local (Not School Specific)

     

    • Alfa Foundation Scholarship

      • Deadline: 2/1/2023

      • The Alfa Foundation will award 100 scholarships for $1,000 each to students attending Alabama colleges, universities and technical schools.

      • Membership must be issued in the name of the scholarship applicant to be eligible for consideration.

    • Alabama Farmers Agriculture Foundation Scholarship

      • Deadline: 2/1/2023

      • Be a member of the Alabama Farmers Federation or under 25 years of age and the child of a Federation member.

      • Be a U.S citizen, exhibit good moral character and citizenship, and exhibit excellent academic potential.

      • Have been formally accepted by, and/or presently attending Auburn University, Alabama A&M University or Tuskegee University as a full-time student with a declared agricultural, forestry, or pre-veterinary major.

    • Jimmy Rane Foundation Scholarship

      • Deadline: 02/06/2023

      • Alabama resident

      • Minimum GPA 3.0

      • Applicants will be evaluated on the following criteria:

        • Future goals and plans to achieve them

        •  Successful preparation as a high school student to prepare and pursue a college education

        •  Self motivation in completing challenging coursework

        •  Demonstration of financial need.

    • Hispanic Scholarship Fund

      • Deadline: 02/15/2023

      • Must be of Hispanic heritage

      • U.S. citizen, permanent legal resident, or DACA.

      • Minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for high school students

      • Plan to enroll full-time in an accredited, public or not-for-profit, four-year university, or graduate school, in the US, for the upcoming academic year.

      • Submit the FAFSA or state-based financial aid forms (if applicable).

      • Deadline: 02/28/2023

      • Must be a primary account holder (Tax Reported Owner), not solely a joint on an account

      • Must be a member in good standing, having never caused RFCU® a loss

      • Must be planning to pursue an associate’s or bachelor’s degree at an accredited college or university

      • Cannot be an RFCU® employee, elected member of the Board of Directors or, any member of a Redstone volunteer committee

      • AL high school senior planning to enroll in a program related to the following:

    • Southern Automotive Women’s Forum

      • Deadline: March 20, 2023

      • Must be a female high school senior or graduate; enrolling in an Alabama college or university; minimum 2.5 GPA; must be pursuing a degree in a STEM or automotive field.

    • Men’s College Scholarship

      • Deadline: 04/04/2023

      • The scholarship is available to any male senior graduating high school who is enrolling in a four-year undergraduate college program that commences in the fall. The scholarship is awarded through the Foundation for Fraternal Excellence, a registered 501(c)3 organization. Current or future membership in a fraternity is not required.

    • Marshall County Bar Association Scholarship

      • Deadline: 04/07/2023

        • The high school senior must be enrolled/attending a high school located in Marshall County, Alabama

        • The high school senior must submit an Official High School Transcript;

        • The high school senior must submit a resume, and include a list of any and all other currently issued scholarships to that student;

        • The high school senior must submit an essay (minimum 250 Words) stating why the senior is interested in entering the legal field (judge, lawyer, paralegal, court staff, etc), and why the scholarship should be awarded to that high school senior.

    • Behavioral Healthcare Scholarship

      • Deadline: 04/14/2023

      • Scholarship applications are to be mailed. You cannot submit this application online.

      • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (copy of transcript to verify)

      • Pursuing social science (sociology, psychology, or social work) undergraduate degree from an accredited college, university or community college

      • Must provide proof of college acceptance letter

      • Complete a 300-500 word essay on the following topic: How has your experience with mental health impacted your beliefs, relationships, and career aspirations?

    • New Beginnings Law Firm Scholarship

      • Deadline: 04/15/2023

      • Marshall County resident

      • 3.0 GPA or higher 

      • Student must be planning to major in law, criminal justice, social work, counseling, psychology, paralegal studies

      • Student must have been impacted by divorce, custody, foster care, or adoption during childhood or adolescence
