Focus Act

The FOCUS Act, passed by the Alabama Legislature, will go into effect beginning with the 2025-2026 school year. This law prohibits the use of smartphones, smartwatches, AirPods, smart glasses, and other communication devices during the school day in all Alabama public schools—including Guntersville City Schools. It also mandates a new internet safety course for students.

Guntersville City Schools is committed to complying with the new law to enhance education and internet safety for students.
