Substitute Teachers

Thank you for your interest in becoming a substitute teacher in our school system.  Your position is valuable to the academic process.  We want to provide you with information to make your job more effective and enjoyable.  

In August of 2023, Guntersville City Schools began managing our own substitutes.  This has allowed us to offer our substitutes higher wages, more opportunities to accept jobs in our district and greater personal service.  Substitutes are an integral part of our schools now more than ever.  We need substitute teachers, lunchroom workers, custodians, paraprofessionals (aide), and nurses.  If you are looking to supplement your income with a flexible work schedule, consider joining the Guntersville City Schools Team.
