Message from Superintendent Brett Stanton concerning Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Our Child Nutrition Program, school staff and members of PTO's will be working with community partners to assist families with food insecurities by implementing the following schedule:

Food pick-up for families with students attending Guntersville High School or Guntersville Middle School will be held at Guntersville High School on Monday, March 16th (1-3 p.m.) and Wednesday, March 18th (9-11 a.m.)

Food pick-up for families with students attending Cherokee Elementary School or Guntersville Elementary School will be held at Guntersville Elementary School on Wednesday, March 18th (8-10 a.m.)    

By the end of the day on Monday, March 16th a list of resources your child can access to enrich their learning at home during our current school system closure (March 16th - April 3rd) will be provided on our school system website.  Students are NOT required to complete assignments through April 3rd, but we encourage students to access the resources to keep their minds engaged. If schools are closed beyond April 3rd, we will communicate our plan for instruction moving forward. 

Along with the decision to close school system operations our Pre-K random selection process originally scheduled for Thursday, March 19th will be rescheduled for a later date.
