I hope this email message finds you and your family doing well. As the COVID-19 Virus spreads, we find ourselves navigating "unchartered waters" trying to maintain as much of our "normal life" as we can while adapting to new mandates. The needed decision made by Governor, Kay Ivey, and State School Superintendent, Eric Mackey to close schools from operating in a traditional manner for the remainder of the school year was in the best interest of faculty, staff, and students. Nonetheless, this decision impacts the way teaching and learning must be delivered to our students over the next seven weeks between April 6 - May 22, 2020. The link below will take you to a video that was produced to assist parents, guardians, and students as we begin this journey on a non-traditional learning path for our students. In advance, I want to thank all of our teachers, principals, and central office team members Paige Raney, Jeff Jones, and Sean Holmes for the work which has been done and will continue to be done in both a collaborative and remote manner to assist with the non-traditional teaching and learning methods being provided for our students. Most importantly, take care of yourself and know our best wishes are extended as we all work through the challenges being presented as a result of the COVID-19 Virus.
