GHS AP Testing General Information for AP Students

  • All testing, with the exception of AP Spanish and CSA, will take place at the Guntersville Church of Christ, located at 800 Gunter Avenue.
  • Breakfast will be provided at the Church of Christ testing location beginning at 7:25 each day.
  • Students must report to the testing location no later than 7:40.
  • Doors will close and testing will begin promptly at 8:00 (CSA at 12:00). 
  • You must have paid Kim Shifflet for all tests prior to being admitted into the testing room. 
  • Please bring sharpened #2 pencils (white erasers are best), blue or black ink pens, and approved calculators (when applicable).
  • You will be given a brief break between tests; snacks will be provided. Absolutely no food or drink allowed in the testing room. Absolutely no use of electronic devices during breaks. 
  • Cell phones are prohibited in testing rooms, as well as other electronic equipment including but not limited to smartwatches, laptops, cameras, tablets, and any other device that accesses the internet. Leave these at home or in your vehicle. 
  • You may not go to your vehicle at any time during testing or breaks.
  • Wear a watch that is set to silent to pace yourself, as all tests are timed. 
  • Dress in comfortable, but appropriate based on school dress code, attire. You may want to bring a sweater or jacket. 
  • You will be excused from school for the remainder of the day once testing is complete; you do not have to report to GHS. 
  • Absolutely no posting to social media; if a student posts to any form of social media during the exam, or refers to unreleased exam content at any time after the exam, the student's score will be canceled, no retest will be permitted, and the student may be permanently banned from future testing.
  • Please get plenty of rest in the days leading up to testing, especially the night before your exam. 
  • Scores will be available in July and can be accessed by going to apscore.org.
