AP Literature and Composition: The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. AP students must conduct research as assigned, read the entire novel, complete the Data Analysis Sheets on the novel, and prepare for an exam the first week of school.

Pre-AP English II: The Things They Carried by Tim O’Brien. Read the novel, not the short story. Students will complete the Major Works Data Sheet and a short historical background research sheet. Pre-AP English I:  Lord of the Flies by William Golding. 

Pre-AP students should complete the Theme Sheets and Discussion Questions on the novel. There will be a Writing Assignment on the novel during the first two weeks of school that will be the students' first test grade of the year.
